Generosity Stories: Christmas for Moore
Thanks to the generosity of the Our Saviour members forty people had a more blessed Christmas than they expected. They chose either a single adult or a small family from the Christmas For Moore program and purchased at least a home gift and a personal gift for each person plus a gift card to enable the recipients to purchase food for a holiday celebration. Children received at least one toy. We had a very generous donor who supplied $400.00 worth of gift cards which insured additional unexpected blessing.
While the recipients were happy with their gifts, an additional blessing was in seeing the joy on their faces when we delivered the gifts at their homes!! It really made me think of the song which speaks about us "being the hands and feet of Christ".
This program has been a regular with OSLC over the years, but even through covid when we made modifications, we were still able to share Christmas joy with our community! We look forward to continuing this tradition in 2022. Be on the lookout for the notebook in the near future if you want to participate!!
